A new CAM-commissioned survey found that 57% of Jewish Americans experienced antisemitism over the past year — equivalent to approximately 3.3 million Jewish adults alongside an estimated 250,000 Jewish children. 38% of respondents said they now hide things identifying them as Jewish, and 23% had skipped Jewish events or observances out of fear. The study, conducted by Dr. Ira Sheskin of the University of Miami and administered by NORC at the University of Chicago, also showed broad Jewish communal support for the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism. CAM President of U.S. Affairs Alyza D. Lewin called the findings a 'stark reminder that antisemitism is a lived daily reality for Jewish Americans.'
